Why is what is "sexy" or "hot" in males becoming more feminine?

Why is it that today, to be hot, generally a man has to have blonde hair and blue eyes and have a soft and gentle face, like Brad Pitt, Nick Carter, Matt Damon, Zack Efron, Leonardo DiCaprio etc? It puzzles me because those qualities are traditionally sought by men for women. It seems that girls today want guys who would look good as girls, and today many celebrity males are sought out to be in this mold. This contrasts with the ideal male of yesteryear, which had dark hair and dark eyes. Also it seems that the preference for the body build is now tall and wiry, as opposed to the tall and or stocky of the past. Why is this? I ask because it reflects in our pop culture, as most of the modern starts are "gorgeous" or "cute" guy, words previously reserved for women, and i think at the expense of pop culture quality to a point. Why is the pretty boy look so in? Is it feminism, is it something else, WHAT IS IT??

I do not think there is an exact reason, but I think it is a reflection of our culture being less macho and more sensitive. As one of the softy types you are referring to, I do not see a problem with such behavior. Women like the way I care about my appearance. It is far from universal, but I think women want someone who understands them more and is less macho so they want people who look less macho.
